Officials provide update on wildfires burning in the province

There continue to be reports of setting fires across the province and Premier John Hogan says he is "troubled" and "frustrated."
Fines as of today have increased to a minimum of $50,000 to $150,000. Failure to pay could result in imprisonment from three days to six month and up.
The Kingston wildfire remains very active and has grown to 2,875 hectares in size, notably on the western side. There are two one-kilometre fire breaks on the southern edge of the blaze. Today, there are three water bombers, three helicopters, and one more water bomber will join the fight today. Military personnel will be on site today, and more firefighters from Ontario will join the fight on Saturday.
The Holyrood fire is being tackled by one helicopter and is 22 ha in size.
The Martin Lake fire has increased to 230 ha in size and is being tackled by ground crews, three tankers, a helicopter, and fire breaks are being installed. Officials continue to watch the Bay d'Espoir Highway.
Quebec will be sending water bombers and bird-dog aircraft to assist the efforts.
