Rain, wind, and wet snow expected today

Across Newfoundland today, we can expect rainfall amounts of 2 mm in St. John's this morning, along with wind gusting to 60 km/h. Marystown will also see winds near 60 km/h. There is a chance of showers in central Newfoundland.


Rain and strong winds are expected along the west coast and Northern Peninsula. In Port aux Basques, we will see 2 to 4 mm of rain along with wind gusts to 70 km/h. 2 to 4 mm is expected in Corner Brook. Port Saunders will see 2 mm combined with winds gusting to 70 km/h. In St. Anthony, 5 mm is expected, and winds will gust to 80 km/h.


Expect high temperatures from 10 to 15.


It will also be blustery across Labrador. In Mary's Harbour, we will see 10 to 15 mm of rain and winds gusting to 70. Happy Valley-Goose Bay will also receive 10 to 15 mm. In Nain, we will see gusts to 80 with rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm.


In western Labrador, rain will be mixed with snow at times. Rainfall amounts of 10 to 15 mm are expected, with gusts between 60 and 80 km.h

Highs will range from 4 to 11.
