Much of Newfoundland and Labrador is expected to see warm temperatures and a mix of sun and cloud today, although a few areas could experience showers and isolated thunderstorms.

The warmest conditions are forecast for central and parts of Labrador, where temperatures are expected to climb into the upper 20s. Happy Valley-Goose Bay is forecast to reach 29 C under partly cloudy skies, while Churchill Falls is expected to see a high of 22 C.

In western Labrador, Labrador City is forecast to reach 18 C with periods of cloud and scattered showers. Farther north, Nain is expected to remain much cooler with a high near 10 C and a mix of sun and cloud.

Across the island portion of the province, temperatures are expected to range from the low 20s to upper 20s. Corner Brook is forecast to reach 24 C under partly sunny skies, while St. Anthony is expected to see a high of 22 C.

Central Newfoundland will be among the warmest regions on the island, with both Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor forecast to reach 27 C. However, there is a risk of afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms in some central areas.

On the Avalon Peninsula, St. John's is expected to see a pleasant day with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 23 C. Marystown is forecast to reach 21 C, though periods of rain are possible.

The coolest temperatures on the island are expected along the southwest coast, where Channel-Port aux Basques is forecast to reach just 12 C under cloudy skies with showers.
