The Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, central Newfoundland and the west coast will receive about 5 to 10 mm of rain. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 20 mm are expected on the Great Northern Peninsula. Winds across the Island will gust between 70 and 80 km/h, except on the Avalon, where gusts to 100 km/h are likely. Highs from 6 to 16 are expected, but temperatures will fall this afternoon.

For southeastern Labrador, 5 to 10 mm of rain is expected, except for areas inland and over higher terrain where precipitation will fall as snow at times. A mix of sun and cloud is expected for central areas and northern coastal regions. There is a chance of flurries or rain showers in western areas. Expect highs from 1 to 8.
