An area of low pressure will push across central and eastern Newfoundland from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.

It looks like the Avalon Peninsula will see mostly rain followed by a quick shot of snow although, depending on the track, more snow is possible. It's possible the Avalon Peninsula could see 5 to 10 cm of snow.

For central sections of Newfoundland, there is higher confidence that snow is expected. Amounts will vary from 10 to 20 cm.

Winds will be gusty with this system too.

It looks like another system will arrive this weekend.
