Stormy night ahead as low moves toward Island

An area of low pressure will push across Newfoundland tonight bringing snow to most of the Island with the exception of the Great Northern Peninsula.


Gander and vicinity, Bonavista North, Terra Nova, and Connaigre will see 15 to 20 cm of snow tonight and Thursday.


Grand Falls-Windsor and vicinity, Bay of Exploits, and the Bay d'Espoir Highway portion of Buchans and the interior will receive nearly 10 cm of snow.


Total snowfall of 10 to 15 cm is expected for the Burin Peninsula, Clarenville, and Bonavista Peninsula.

About 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected on the Avalon Peninsula overnight. Snow may change to rain on Thursday morning.
