Power outage impacting much of the Northern Peninsula

Most of Northern Peninsula is still without power after an outage on Monday night.


There are aproxemently 7,895 customers without power according to NL Hydro.

The impacted communities include Boat Harbour, Cooks Harbour, Goose Cove, Great Brehat, Gunner's Cove, Hay Cove, L'Anse Au Meadows, Noddy Bay, Pistolet Bay Area, Quirpon, Raleigh, Ship Cove, St. Anthony, St. Anthony Bight, St. Carol's, St. Lunaire-Griquet, and Straitsview.


Severe weather with snow, freezing rain, and strong winds are impacting the area.
