Police Warn of Hazardous Road Conditions Across Avalon Peninsula

Poor weather conditions across the Avalon Peninsula have prompted warnings for both the RCMP and the RNC.

Mounties in Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace are advising motorists to avoid the Veterans Highway as road conditions are very poor. Police are encouraging the public to avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.

Additionally, the RNC has responded to several motor vehicle collisions across the Northeast Avalon in recent hours. Rain and snow have resulted in quickly changing road conditions.
