It will be an unsettled week across Newfoundland and two lows may impact the region. The first will be on Wednesday and the second on Friday.

A low will develop off the coast of Florida on Tuesday and then track northward and will have an impact on this province on Wednesday.

Across eastern Newfoundland, there is a risk of rain and freezing rain. The rain could be heavy at times. Snow is expected for central and western areas of Newfoundland.

Then on Friday, another low is expected to swing through the region. This low will likely bring a quick shot of snow on Friday to western Newfoundland before a changeover to rain for all of Newfoundland on Friday and Friday night and then ending with another quick changeover to snow on Saturday morning.

Both lows have the potential to cause significant travel disruptions and possibly some flooding due to warm temperatures, rainfall, and melting snow.
