St. John’s reminds residents permits required for open-air fires

The City of St. John’s and the St. John’s Regional Fire Department are reminding residents that permits are required for most open-air fires within city limits as fire season gets underway. Snow squall risk across parts of Newfoundland today

There is a risk of snow squalls along the south and west coast today, with up to 5 cm expected. There is a chance of flurries on the Great Northern Peninsula, and sun and cloud is expected for the metro area. Highs from minus 6 to minus 4 are expected. In western Labrador, about 2 cm of snow is expected today. There is a chance of flurries for the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area, and sun and cloud is expected in Nain.
