Wet Sunday ahead for Newfoundland

An area of low pressure will push across Newfoundland on Sunday and will bring some much-needed rain to the Island.

The heaviest rain will fall in central Newfoundland, where 20 to 30 mm is expected. The Avalon Peninsula and the west coast will receive 10 to 20 mm, and lesser amounts are expected on the Great Northern Peninsula.

This rain should help bring down the fire risk across the Island.
