OVERVIEW

Wet start, improving later, but still cloudy and breezy by the end of the day.

FRIDAY

A messy, unsettled day is expected across much of the province. Rain showers are expected in most areas, generally ending by afternoon, with 5 to 10 mm for many regions. There’s a risk of freezing rain or freezing drizzle early in the morning, especially inland and central areas, along with fog patches that gradually clear.

Temperatures will be mild for many, with highs ranging from about 5°C to 8°C, though cooler along parts of the coast and in the north, where some areas may see snow or flurries instead of rain.

Winds will shift from southerly to northwesterly during the day, becoming breezy by afternoon.

Snow is expected this morning across most of Labrador. Most areas will see about 2 to 5 cm of snow.
