Stormy weather expected in Labrador

Labrador will see snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, rain, and strong winds Thursday until Saturday.


Coastal Labrador will see snow, transitioning through ice pellets and freezing rain to rain. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm is expected along with 2 to 10 mm or freezing rain and 10 to 25 mm of rain. Winds will also gust from 60 to 80 km/h, except 100 along parts of the coast in the southeast.


Interior sections of Labrador will see snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, and rain. Snow amounts of 10 to 25 cm is anticipated combined with 5 to 15 mm of freezing rain. There could be 5 to 10 hours of freezing rain.
