An area of low pressure will move toward Newfoundland from the southwest on Saturday Night and Sunday morning and will bring snow to most of the Island.

Snow is expected to begin late Saturday night, spreading across the Island overnight. The heaviest snowfall is likely on Sunday morning.

The heaviest snow will fall across eastern and southeastern Newfoundland.

There is the possibility of 15 cm of snow.

Winds will also be gusty with possible gusts to 60 km/h, resulting in blowing snow. Blowing snow may reduce visibility at times, especially in open areas, which could lead to difficult travel conditions on Sunday.
