Saskatchewan

Snow will continue over the course of the morning. Areas across the northern Grainbelt will see snowfall amounts of 30 cm.

Manitoba

The snow will continue through most of the southern areas of Manitoba today.

An additional 10 to 15 cm of snow can be expected today.

The snow should taper off this afternoon in western Manitoba and this evening in the east.

Northern Ontario

Portions of northwestern Ontario, particularly areas north of Lake Superior, could see between 15 and 25 centimetres of snow. Snow is forecast to begin late tonight and persist throughout the day on Wednesday, with some areas seeing snowfall continue into early Thursday morning.

Strong wind gusts are also expected to produce localized blowing snow, especially in exposed areas, leading to hazardous travel conditions and the potential for road closures.

Communities closer to Lake Superior are expected to receive lower totals, closer to 15 centimetres. There is also a risk of freezing rain in those regions, though impacts are expected to be minimal.

Meanwhile, a broader area covering parts of northwestern and northeastern Ontario could see between 8 and 15 centimetres of snow. Snow is expected to begin late tonight in the northwest and spread eastward throughout the day on Wednesday before tapering off late Wednesday night or early Thursday.
