Rain expected for most of the province today

Across the West Coast and Great Northern Peninsula, rain will begin this afternoon. 5 to 10 mm is expected from Port Saunders to Corner Brook. The Port aux Basques area will receive 15 to 25 mm of rain. There is a chance of late-day showers in central Newfoundland. 2 mm of rain is expected on the Burin Peninsula, while St. John's is looking at a mix of sun and cloud. Expect temperatures to range from 14 to 17.


A wet day is expected across Labrador. Labrador City will see about 2 to 4 mm of rain today, as will Mary's Harbour this afternoon. Other areas are looking at about 5 to 10 mm of rain. Highs today are expected to range from 10 to 15.
