There is a storm on the way from Tuesday night to Wednesday night.
Models indicate widespread precipitation over much of Newfoundland.
It looks like the Avalon will see rain or heavy wet snow along with strong winds with gusts likely 80 to 110 km/h at exposed coastal areas.
Central Newfoundland will see heavy snow or mixed precipitation in central and interior areas. Snow totals could be 15 to 30 cm in places. Strong winds with gusts from 60 to 100 km/h are expected in exposed areas.
Western Newfoundland will see rain along the coast, changing to snow inland and over high terrain. Wind gusts from 60 to 90 km/h are expected, especially along the coast.
It will be very windy along the exposed southwest coast.
We'll have more on this storm as we get closer.
