NL Issues Regional State of Emergency

The provincial government has declared a Regional State of Emergency for the Bay de Verde Peninsula.

Earlier this afternoon, an evacuation order was issued for Burnt Point-Gull Island-Northern Bay.

Everyone on the Bay de Verde Peninsula should be prepared to evacuate. Do not evacuate unless you are told to.

Ground crews have been removed for safety reasons.
