The day will start out fairly calm across the Island portion of the province, but an area of low pressure will push across Newfoundland this afternoon, bringing rain to the Island portion of the province, which will be heavy overnight. Across higher elevations of the West Coast, snow is expected.
The Avalon Peninsula, south coast, and most of central will see 15 to 20 mm of rain. The Burin Peninsula will pick up the most with 20 to 25 mm expected. Highs today will range from 6 to 8 degrees.
Labrador will be nice today with sun and cloud expected. Temperatures will range from minus 1 to minus 6.
