Monday forecast and a peek at the forecast for Regatta Day

A mix of sun and cloud is expected across most of the Islands today, with overcast conditions on the Avalon and morning drizzle on the Burin Peninsula. Expect highs between 16 and 27.

Rain is expected in western Labrador today, with 2 to 4 mm expected. In the Nain area, rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected. There is a chance of showers in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area and sun and cloud in southeastern Labrador. Highs will be from 10 to 20.

Regatta Day

Taking a look ahead at the Regatta Day forecast. We expect a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of showers in the afternoon. High of 21. Winds SE 20 gusting to 50 km/h. We anticipate a 70 to 80 percent chance the Regatta goes ahead if the strongest gusts don't materialize over the lake during the morning.
