Heavy snow across Newfoundland tonight and Sunday

Snow will move across Newfoundland tonight and Sunday morning.


The heaviest snow will fall across the Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, Clarenville and the Bonavista Peninsula. Snowfall amounts in these areas will be 15 to 20 cm of snow.


Southwestern and central Newfoundland will receive 10 to 15 cm of snow. The Corner Brook and Deer Lake areas will see about 5 cm.


Winds will gust to 70 km/h.


The snow will end from west to east on Sunday afternoon.
