Heavy rain expected across Newfoundland on Saturday

An area of low pressure will move over the Avalon Peninsula on Saturday and will deliver heavy rain to parts of the province.

The heaviest rain is expected over the Avalon Peninsula through to the Burin Peninsula, north to the Bonavista Peninsula. In this area, 25 to 50 mm of rain is expected.

Much of the south coast, through to Gander, will see 15 to 25 mm.

West of Grand Falls-Windsor to the west coast will see 5 to 15 mm of rain.
