Heat records broken in Labrador

On Friday, three locations in Labrador set a daily maximum temperature record.

Cartwright reached a temperature of 25.7. The old record of 25.6 was set in 1938, and records in this area have been kept since 1934.

A high of 28.3 was reached in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. The old record of 27.8 was set in 1976, and records in this area have been kept since 1941.

Mary's Harbour got up to 28.3. The old record of 27.4 was set in 2005, and records in this area have been kept since 1983.
