From Saturday to midday Monday, gusty winds and cold temperatures will combine to produce very cold wind chills across Newfoundland.
A special weather statement has been issued for most of the Island except for a portion of the Great Northern Peninsula, where a Yellow Cold Warning is in effect.
For western, central, and eastern Newfoundland, wind chills between minus 24 and minus 28 are expected. Wind chills will reach minus 20 to minus 24 for the south coast and southern Avalon.
