Flood watch issued for Deer Lake

The Town of Deer Lake is advising of a flood watch that is in effect for the Humber River.

Water levels continue to rise due to warm temperatures speeding up snow melt, and there is some rain in the forecast.

Residents should be prepared and stay aware of changing conditions, keep back from riverbanks and fast-moving water, and use caution in low-lying areas.

Flooding may occur in areas near the river.
