Much of Newfoundland and Labrador is seeing a cold but generally quiet weather day this Wednesday, with dry conditions dominating and a mix of sun and cloud across the region.

Across Labrador, temperatures remain cold. Nain is the cold spot on the map at –15°C, while Churchill Falls sits near –11°C and Labrador City around –13°C. Skies are mainly partly cloudy.

Moving into western Newfoundland, Corner Brook is hovering near –2°C, with a mix of sun and cloud. Further south, Channel–Port aux Basques is slightly colder at –1°C, where cloud cover may be a bit more persistent at times, and there is a risk of flurries.

Across central Newfoundland, temperatures are closer to seasonal norms. Gander is sitting near –1°C, while the Grand Falls–Windsor area is right around 0°C, making it one of the milder spots on the island today.

In eastern and northeastern Newfoundland, conditions remain dry but chilly. St. Anthony is looking at –5°C, while St. John’s is colder than central areas at –3°C. Skies remain mainly clear to partly cloudy, with no precipitation expected.

Along the south coast, Marystown stands out as the mildest location on the map at +1°C, with sunshine breaking through and relatively calm conditions.
