Another stormy day ahead for NL

Rain is expected over eastern and central Newfoundland. The Avalon will only see 2 to 4 mm, the Burin Peninsula will pick up 5 to 10 mm and 10 to 20 mm is expected in central before rain changes to snow late this afternoon. For the west coast and the Great Northern Peninsula, snow will mix with ice pellets early in the morning, with 10 to 15 cm expected. Highs from minus 9 to plus 13 are expected.


Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay area. There will be light snow in Churchill Falls, flurries in Nain, and a chance of flurries in Labrador City. Highs from minus 17 to minus 11 are expected.
