Unsettled start to the long weekend in Newfoundland
It will be an unsettled start to the long weekend with rain expected across most of the Island today. On the Avalon Peninsula, rainfall amounts of 10 mm are expected, the south coast could pick up 10 to 20 mm, 5 cm is expected for central and 2 to 4 mm for the west coast. In Labrador, temperatures will range between 11 and 18 with mostly sunny skies.

Much improved weather for your Thursday
The weather is the complete opposite of what we saw yesterday, with sunny skies and warm temperatures expected. Newfoundland will see sunny to mainly sunny skies with highs from 8 to 16, while Labrador will see the same with temperatures from 9 to 13 degrees. The winds are still a touch gusty but will diminish over the course of the day.
