Tropical Storm Arthur threatens life-threatening flooding across U.S. Gulf Coast and Southeast
The first storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season has formed. Tropical Storm Arthur is about 35 kilometres north-northwest of Matagorda, Texas. Arthur is expected to bring life-threatening flash flooding to parts of the southeastern United States as it moves inland over Texas, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center. On the Northern Peninsula, rainfall amounts of 15 mm are expected. Drizzle along the west coast will deliver about 2 to 4 mm to the area.
