The agency’s outlook for the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to Nov. 30, indicates a 55 per cent chance of a below-normal season, along with a 35 per cent chance of a near-normal season and a 10 per cent chance of an above-normal season. Northern coastal areas of Labrador will see snow this morning, with an additional 2 cm expected. There is a chance of flurries elsewhere across the Big Land. Expect highs from 3 to 6.

An area of low pressure will spread rain and snow across Labrador today. Most of the precipitation will fall as rain, with 10 mm expected in western areas and 10 to 15 mm in the Happy Valley-Goose Bay region. Highs will range from 2 to 5. Western areas of Newfoundland will see about 5 mm of rain today. Rain will start late in the day in the eastern areas of Newfoundland. Highs from 5 to 12 are expected.
