A wet day ahead for most of the Island
It will be a wet day across central, eastern, and southern Newfoundland. Rainfall amounts of 5 mm are expected for central and eastern Newfoundland. Southern sections will see about 10 to 20 mm. There is a chance of drizzle for most of the west coast. Highs will range from 13 to 23. In Labrador, there is a chance of showers for the coast and western areas, with temperatures ranging from 20 to 29.

Stephenville, Makkovik and Mary's Harbour Set New Heat Records
Several communities across Newfoundland and Labrador set or tied daily high temperature records on Sunday as unusually warm conditions spread across the province. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the Stephenville area established a new daily maximum temperature record for July 26, reaching 27.7 C. Sunny skies expected for most of the province today
It will be overcast today on the Avalon Peninsula with a risk of showers or drizzle, with areas of fog and a high of just 17. Once you get off the Avalon, summer weather returns with most areas looking at sunny skies and highs near 30 in some areas. In western Labrador, it will be clear this morning with clouds building this afternoon with a risk of showers and thunderstorms.
