A wet day is in store for Newfoundland with rain expected across the Island. Rainfall Forecast: St. John's 5-10 mm Marystown 20-30 mm Grand Falls-Windsor 15-25 mm Corner Brook 5-10 mm Highs will range from 8 to 11. There is a chance of showers across most of Labrador with highs from 5 to 12.

Rain for several areas today
Rain is on the menu for the west coast of the Island today, with 15 to 25 mm expected in the Port aux Basques area. In Corner Brook, 5 mm of rain is expected, and St. Anthony will see 2 to 4 mm. In the Wreckhouse area, winds will gust to 100 km/h. Highs will be from 5 to 14. It will be unsettled across Labrador with 5 mm of rain expected in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. There is a chance of showers or flurries elsewhere. Expect highs of 4 to 9.

Flood watch issued for Deer Lake
The Town of Deer Lake is advising of a flood watch that is in effect for the Humber River. Water levels continue to rise due to warm temperatures speeding up snow melt, and there is some rain in the forecast. Residents should be prepared and stay aware of changing conditions, keep back from riverbanks and fast-moving water, and use caution in low-lying areas. Flooding may occur in areas near the river.
