The reminder follows recent reports of fires in wooded areas and growing concerns about fire safety as warmer weather arrives. Cooler Friday ahead for NL
A colder and more unsettled Friday is ahead. Across Newfoundland, there are some showers this morning in parts of the west coast and central areas. The showers will end this morning, with sun and cloud expected this afternoon. A couple of millimetres of rain is possible on the Avalon. Temperatures today will range from 7 to 17. It's a completely different story across Labrador, where mostly sunny skies are expected with highs from 9 to 16.
