Rain will start this afternoon on the southwest coast with about 5 mm expected. There is a chance of showers this afternoon along the west coast, the Great Northern Peninsula, and in Central Newfoundland. Highs from 15 to 26 are expected. Evacuation Order Lifted for Walsh River Cabin Area as Wildfire Remains Contained
Residents and cabin owners in the Walsh River Cabin Area are allowed to return to their properties after Labrador City lifted the evacuation order for the area. Despite the change, the Walsh River Cabin Area remains under an evacuation alert until further notice. Evacuation alerts also remain in effect for Duley Lake, Throne Lake and the Tamarack Golf Course Road area.
